We are currently finalizing our Beneficial Bacteria and Sludge Remover formulas. Soon, you will be able to swap bottles seasonally—using Barley Straw in the high-sun summer months and switching to Bacteria in the autumn to break down falling leaves and organic waste.

Does this need any maintenance?
Virtually none it is advisable to do a pipe change once every 12 months as a preventative, these are sold cheaply as a DIY service kit and very easy to install. plus a 5 year RTC change also sold cheaply as a service kit. All this is tracked in the Flow Genie and lets you know of upcoming services.
How do I know the pump is actually working?
The integrated OLED screen provides real-time visual feedback. It displays your current dosing status and alerts you to your scheduled run times. Additionally, our medical-grade peristaltic pumps are self-priming, meaning you can visually see the liquid moving through the clear tubing.
Can I use the Flow Genie for other treatments?
The Flow Genie is designed to be the heart of your pond maintenance. While it’s optimized for our Barley Straw Extract during the summer, the system is fully compatible with the upcoming Pond Kinetics Beneficial Bacteria and Sludge Remover lines. As the seasons change, you can simply swap your bottle and adjust the dose.
Do I need to know how to code to use the Flow Genie?
Absolutely not.While the FlowGenie is powered by an advanced micro-controller, we’ve done all the heavy lifting for you. The unit arrives with pre-written, optimized algorithm already installed. It’s a simple "plug-and-play" device—just use the integrated screen to set your daily dose and let the system handle the rest.
What happens if there is a power cut?
We’ve engineered the Flow Genie with Non-Volatile Memory. This means your dosing schedule and settings are saved internally. The moment the power comes back on, the FlowGenie resumes its schedule exactly where it left off. You won't need to recalibrate or reprogram a thing.
Is the Barley Straw Extract safe for my fish and plants?
Yes. Our Barley Straw Extract is a 100% natural, organic treatment. Unlike harsh chemical algaecides that can deplete oxygen levels or harm sensitive aquatic plants, our extract works with the pond's natural ecosystem. It is completely safe for fish, frogs, dragonflies, and all aquatic vegetation.
