Frequently Asked Questions

Will this fit my current air pump?
Yes. The Air Guard is totally universal. We include a T-fitting that splices directly into any standard 4mm silicone or PVC pond air line in seconds. It works with all major pump brands.
How long does the battery last?
Because the system draws virtually zero power while in "standby/monitoring" mode, the included premium 9V battery will last for many months. We recommend pressing the 'TEST' button once a month just to verify the battery is still fully charged.
Is the unit fully waterproof?
The Air Guard is weather-resistant and handles the humid environment of a pond area perfectly. However, we highly recommend mounting it inside your filter house, a shed, or under a basic weather cover to protect the buzzer aperture and battrery compartment from direct, torrential rain.
How loud is the alarm?
It is designed to be impossible to ignore. It features a high-decibel piezo buzzer specifically chosen to pierce through the background noise of running water, waterfalls, and pumps, ensuring you are alerted the moment pressure drops.
Does the pressure sensor use up the air meant for my pond?
Only a microscopic amount. The sensor features an Active Pressure Monitoring system that uses a continuous, tiny bleed to verify system integrity. It consumes approximately 0.1 L/min (less than 1% of a standard pump's output), guaranteeing lightning-fast failure detection while leaving your pond's overall aeration unaffected.
